Viva Las Singapore: Local Casino takings to overtake Las Vegas

And total revenue is expected to rise to USD 6.4bn from USD 5.1bn last year, according to Frank Fahrenkopf, President of American Gaming Association.

This big improvement came in just after the opening of Singapore’s two first casinos last year.

Las Vegas lost its No. 1 spot to Macau in 2006, and now it loses its No. 2 spot to Singapore.

Fahrenkopf predicts an ‘extremely good year’ for Singapore and Macau, as gambling revenue in Macau hit $23.5 billion last year.
