Chart of the day: Manufacturing output climbs 2.2% in June

However, output fell by 8.5%.MoM.

This chart from the Economic Development Board of Singapore shows that manufacturing output climbed 2.2% on a year-on-year (YoY) basis. This number increases 4.2% if you exclude biomedical manufacturing.

The chart shows that manufacturing output slowed down for the month, decreasing from 10.4% You in May.

On a three-month moving average basis, manufacturing output rose 5.7% in June 2022, compared to a year ago. On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, manufacturing output decreased 8.5%.

For the month, only biomedical manufacturing and chemical manufacturing saw their outputs decline. Biomedical manufacturing fell by 9.2% in June whilst chemical manufacturing dropped by 11% compared to the same period last year.
