Fu Yu reviews board change request

Fu Yu Corporation Limited has received a new request from shareholder Mr. Victor Lim to propose board changes at its upcoming Annual General Meeting.

The request, submitted on 11 March under Section 183 of the Companies Act, calls for the removal and appointment of independent non-executive directors—mirroring earlier attempts by Mr. Lim to convene an Extraordinary General Meeting for the same purpose.

The company’s board says it is seeking legal advice on the validity of this latest requisition and will update shareholders once more information is available.

In the meantime, Fu Yu assured stakeholders that its operations remain unaffected and that business is proceeding as usual. The company also advised shareholders and potential investors to exercise caution when dealing in its shares, and to consult professional advisers if in doubt.

Further announcements will be made as necessary, the company added.
