Chart of the Day: Singapore-listed equity offerings up 6.1% to $5.22b in August

Follow-on offerings surged 130.3% YoY to $4.53b.

This chart from Thomson Reuters shows that Singapore-listed equity offerings including initial public offerings (IPO) and follow-on offerings rose 6.1%  YTD to $5.22b(US$3.8b) compared to the first nine months of 2017.

With this, Singapore listed equity offerings are at its highest for the first nine months period since 2014.

This was driven by follow-on offerings in Singapore stock exchanges that surged 130.3% YoY to $4.53b (US$3.3b) in proceeds so far for 2018, the firm noted.
