Daily Markets Briefing: STI down 1.25%

Medtecs Intl saw the sharpest decline amongst top active stocks with a 8.09% contraction.

The Straits Times Index ended 31.97 or 1.25% lower at 2,523.62.

The top active stocks were Medtecs Intl, which plummeted 8.09%, Wilmar Intl, which fell 6.44%, DBS, which decreased 1.17%, Singtel, which edged down 1.81%, and OCBC Bank with a 1.26% contraction.

The FTSE Mid Cap inched down 0.36%, whilst the FTSE Small Cap slipped 0.82%.
