Franklin Templeton becomes substantial shareholder in Digital Core REIT

The investment firm bought 969,800 units in the REIT.

Franklin Resources, Inc. (Franklin Templeton) acquired 969,800 units of Digital Core REIT at $0.0077 (US$0.577) per unit on 6 March.

With this transaction, Franklin Templeton’s deemed interest in the REIT rose to 5.06%, totaling 65,675,100 shares, making it one of the REIT’s new substantial shareholders.

The fund noted that the acquisition was made through funds and client accounts managed by investment advisers directly or indirectly owned by Franklin Resources, Inc.
