Yangzijiang Financial’s FY2024 net profit surges 51% to $304.6m

Earnings per share stood at $0.0866.

Yangzijiang Financial posted a 51% year-on-year (YoY) rise in net profit to $304.6m in FY2024 from $201.8m a year ago.

Earnings per share stood at $0.0866.

The company’s cash and yield enhancement products recorded a 12% growth to $1.18b and a 150% increase in maritime fund assets to $579.3m.

Meanwhile, its debt investment business in China saw a 24% decline to $1.2b.

Total income for the period also dropped 6% YoY to $326.2m mainly due to lower interest income from a reduced average balance of debt investments in China, partially offset by stronger contributions from cash management activities and fund investments.

Yangzijiang Financial proposed a final dividend of $0.0345 per share, subject to shareholders’ approval.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
