Singapore ranks 18th globally in daily digital ad exposure

At the top of the list is Nauru, where users encounter nearly 1,600 ad placements daily, followed by Iceland with over 1,500.

Internet users in Singapore are exposed to nearly 750 digital ads every day, placing the nation 18th globally for online ad saturation, according to a study by global AdTech firm Eskimi.

The research analyzed advertising data from websites and apps across 188 countries. At the top of the list is Nauru, where users encounter nearly 1,600 ad placements daily, followed by Iceland with over 1,500.

Despite Singapore’s relatively high ranking, the study found that most of the ads seen locally appear on mobile apps. Singaporeans encounter three times more ads on apps than on websites.

User habits also play a role. According to Meltwater and We Are Social’s Global Digital Report, Singaporeans spend about 6.5 hours online daily—less than South Africans (10 hours) but more than Japanese users (4 hours).

With digital fatigue on the rise, Eskimi advises advertisers to focus less on volume and more on quality.
