Bain launches AI Innovation Hub to accelerate enterprise adoption

Bain says AI must drive revenue and speed, not just productivity.

Bain & Company has opened an AI Innovation Hub in Singapore to help enterprises move artificial intelligence deployments from pilots to production.

Supported by the Economic Development Board, the hub will focus on advanced manufacturing, energy, financial services, healthcare, consumer products and retail.

The launch coincides with Bain’s Southeast Asia CEO’s Guide to AI Transformation report, which finds that productivity gains alone are insufficient in markets with lower labour costs. The report advises CEOs to tie AI adoption to measurable business outcomes, including faster product development, reduced supply chain costs and new revenue opportunities.

Singapore was chosen for the hub due to its ecosystem of more than 1,000 AI startups and an estimated $198.3b in AI-related economic contribution by 2030. Bain said the centre will provide engineering support for proofs of concept and minimum viable products to accelerate deployment.

The report notes structural challenges across Southeast Asia, where fewer large-cap firms have the scale to absorb upfront AI investment. Bain said successful transformation requires existing teams to lead implementation, with CEOs setting clear outcomes and defining success by speed and scalability.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
