MAS appoints Phua Wee Ling as assistant managing director from 2026
Before MAS, Phua worked at Citibank Singapore and the Central Provident Fund Board.
The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has appointed Phua Wee Ling as assistant managing director for its organisation and people development group, effective 1 January 2026.
Phua is currently the executive director for financial centre development. In her new role, she will lead the organisation and people development group, which encompasses people development, organisation development and communications, legal, corporate services, and the MAS Academy.
She succeeds Wong Zeng Yi, who will be seconded to Enterprise Singapore as assistant managing director for manufacturing. Wong has held his current post since April 2021.
Phua, 45, joined MAS in 2006, and has held roles in prudential policy, markets policy and infrastructure, and financial centre development.
Before MAS, she worked at Citibank Singapore and the Central Provident Fund Board.
