Kirkland & Ellis emerges as top M&A legal adviser for 2024

This is according to the Legal Advisers League Table by GlobalData.

Kirkland & Ellis emerged as the leading mergers and acquisitions (M&A) legal adviser for 2024, ranking first in value and volume as it provided 576 deals valued at $422.3b, according to GlobalData’s Legal Advisers League Table.

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom occupied the second position in terms of value by advising on $354b worth of deals, followed by Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison with $295.7b, Cravath Swaine & Moore with $254.4b, and Latham & Watkins with $254b.

Other law firms with a Singapore presence include: Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher (8), White & Case (9), Freshfields Bruckhouse Deringer (10), Sullivan & Cromwell (13), Linklaters (14), Ropes & Gray (15), Goodwin Procter (16), Vinson & Elkins (18), and Paul Hastings (19).

Meanwhile, CMS occupied the second position in terms of volume by advising on 325 deals, followed by White & Case with 253 deals, Latham & Watkins with 245 deals, and Allen & Overy with 208 deals.
