15 best selling projects in January 2016

Almost half in the list are ECs.

January was a slow start to the year for the property sector with new sales only reaching 322, which represents 16.1% drop month-on-month and 14.4% year-on-year. The figure which excludes executive condos (EC) marked the lowest new sales in a year. BNP Paribas notes that the slowdown was mainly due to lack of new project launches (only 146 new unit launches in January), as developers continue to watch the market cautiously.

Data compiled by BNP Paribas show that the top performer was thrice-in-a-row The Poiz Residences by MCC.It is followed by an EC project The Amore. 6 other ECs made it in this monthly listing of best selling projects.

By region, mass market continues to account for the highest share in January at 77.8% of new sales (66.3% in December), followed by mid-end at 16.7% (30.1%) and high-end at 5.4% (3.5%).

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
