Chart of the Day: Check out increasing home resale transactions in Q3

They accounted 53.9% of sale transactions.

Home resales have been gaining momentum once again after transactions drastically slumped in 2013. According to the latest figures by URA, 2,477 resale transactions were recorded in 3Q16, compared to the 2,140 units transacted in the previous quarter.

"Resale transactions accounted for 53.9% of all sale transactions in 3rd quarter 2016, compared to 47.0% in the previous quarter," URA noted.

Meanwhile, there were 138 sub-sale transactions the said quarter, compared to the 154 units transacted in the previous quarter. Sub-sales accounted for 3.0% of all sale transactions in 3Q16, compared to 3.4% in the previous quarter.
