Chart of the Day: HDB rents down 0.4% to 117.7 in Q3

Rental prices may continue to fall in the coming months as more flats are eligible for lease.

This chart from OrangeTee & Tie shows that the HDB rents slipped 0.4% to 117.7 from June to September this year after rising for three consecutive quarters.

On a yearly basis, rents rose 1.1% in Q3 this year compared to Q3 2018.

“We may expect some downward pressure on rental prices in the coming months due to the increasing number of flats that would have reached MOP this year and be eligible for lease,” noted OrangeTee & Tie.
