HDB rents rise 0.4% MoM in September

By room type, 5 Room recorded the highest rent increase.

HDB rents rose by 0.4% MoM and 18.2% YoY in September, according to data from 99.co and SRX.

Rents climbed in both the mature and non-mature estates, rising by 0.3% MoM.

Three of the four room types also recorded MoM rent increases in September, led by 5 Room (+2.1%). 3 Room and 4 Room both recorded a 0.1% increase in rents. 

Meanwhile, rents for the Executive declined by 0.8% MoM.

Volumes, on the other hand, fell in September, dropping 7.8% MoM to 2,763 HDB flats.


The volume, however, was 20.0% higher than the September 2022 record and 5.0% higher than the five-year average volume for September.

Of the total volume, 32.8% was from 3 Room, 37.4% from 4 Room, 24.3% from 5 Room and 5.5% from Executive.
