HDB resale volume drops 1.7% MoM in August

Of the total volume, only 1.4% were million-dollar flats.

Demand for HDB resale flats dropped in August with only 2,323 units sold, data from 99.co and SRX. showed.

Compared to July and August 2022, volume dropped by 1.7% and 15.5%, respectively. 

By room type, 4 Room flats were the most transacted in August, accounting for 41.2% of the total volume, followed by 5 Room (24.9%), 3 Room (24.7%), and Executive (7.1%).

By estate, non-mature estates had more sales (58%) than mature estates (42%).

Of the total volume, only 1.4% or 33 flats million-dollar flats.

Eight of the 33 million-dollar flats sold were from Toa Payoh, seven from Bukit Merah, and six from Queenstown.

The rest of the million-dollar flats come from Central Area, Kallang/Whampoa, Bishan, Woodlands, Marine Parade, Clementi and Serangoon.

Whilst volume dipped, prices of HDB resale flats continued to rise for the 26th straight month, climbing 0.4% MoM.
