Check out UNIQLO's 8th store in Singapore at Plaza Singapura

The mall’s new integrated wing formerly known as The Atrium @ Orchard now houses Japan's leading casual wear brand.

According to a release, following the recent success of the ION Orchard store expansion, UNIQLO, Japan’s No. 1 Casual Wear Brand, expands its retail services with new ground at Plaza Singapura, which was opened to public on November 2, 2012.

Spanning a floor area of close to 14,000 square feet, UNIQLO Plaza Singapura is the brand’s 8th store in Singapore.

On the day, UNIQLO’s Plaza Singapura store opened its doors at 10am to a lengthy queue of eager customers. The first 500 customers in queue were given a free UNIQLO tote bag and a specially designed Uniqlo notebook. With every 100 dollars spent in a single receipt in any Uniqlo store, customers are also entitled to a specially designed Uniqlo notebook.

The day’s top selling items include the Easy Leggings Pants, Printed Fleece Full Zip Jacket, Sweat Set and Colour Rib Tank Top for women. For men, top selling items include the Dry Package T Shirt, Printed Fleece Full Zip Jacket and Dry Pique Short Sleeve Polo Shirt.

UNIQLO Plaza Singapura is located at the mall’s new integrated wing, formerly known as The Atrium @ Orchard. Stocking an extensive range of high quality Men’s and Women’s apparels, UNIQLO’s latest store aims to increase accessibility and visibility along Orchard Road.

Being at the north gateway of Orchard Road, the decision to take up the retail space at Plaza Singapura would allow the brand to move beyond the main shopping district to cater to various profile groups.

“The decision to take up the retail space at Plaza Singapura, which draws a different crowd from the main shopping district, is a strategic execution of our expansion strategy as it will be more convenient for UNIQLO customers to visit any one of our three outlets along Orchard Road,” says Mr Satoshi Onoguchi, Managing Director of UNIQLO (Singapore) Pte Ltd and UNIQLO Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
