It targets women wanting to wear designs not found anywhere in the world.
After its soft opening on the 1st of September, Noël Caleb Concept Store is holding its grand opening party this coming September 29.
Located at Orchard Central, this new womenswear, bags, accessories and kidswear store offers 8 specially curated designer labels from Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand and Latin America.
Noël Caleb Concept Store founder and creative director Eileen Yap notes that every design in the store is unique. “Styles mostly are one piece each size only in the world, now found only in this Noel Caleb concept store. So shoppers who buy pieces from the store will be glad to know that they are wearing genuinely creative, good workmanship pieces,” she said in an interview.
The store provides 10 brands which include Noel Caleb, La Boutique (couture price starts from S$400-S$1500), YUNA, JUDE, Rinrata, Twinkle Secret, CURIOSITY, Kolombiana, A. Python, littleoddforest.
Noël Caleb is the brainchild of Brand Strategist and Creative Director. Though the label is only 3 years old, Noël Caleb claims of receiving great reviews and has an active community of 7,000 fan followers. The label has partnered with superstore like Tangs, ISETAN and Takashimaya, bringing its colourful, creative fashion pieces to the confident, experimental women.
According to Eileen, the concept store is a personalised shopping place where you can get recommendations to what you need instantly. They also provide styling service to customers. The store encourages people to give them 30 minutes, pick 3 outfits and transform them.
“A first in Singapore, Noël Caleb offers personalized fitting services to its customers, before purchase, to a customer in Singapore. When a person selects what she likes from the online website www.noelcaleb.com, she can arrange for a fitting session, and try on the clothes, before she buys,” Eileen explained.
Aside from selling fashion pieces, Eileen said that they also host fashion parties in the store.
Eileen Yap, 39, is a full-time fashion entrepreneur and mentor to many fashion graduates and people from all walks of life who like to venture into fashion.
She is a true believer that fashion has to be wearable and not just looking good on sketches, Eileen sees to it that every design and piece she creates go through vigorous fitting and styling sessions with the customers so that various body types and silhouettes are taken into consideration in the design creation of every piece.
Prior to starting Noël Caleb,Eileen has more than 15 years in the advertising, branding and marketing consultancy of various products and services, spanning across industries like fashion, FMCG, technology, banking, F&B and sports. With a strong knowledge of branding and marketing, Eileen decided to launchNoël Caleb. “Noël Caleb’s designs are edgy yet practical, colourful yet wearable, adventurous yet adaptable,” said Eileen.
Being a mother of 3 young children, Eileen’s ability to manage her own business while mentoring others in the industry has won her the title of one of the Most Inspiring Women as voted by Singapore’s leading women's lifestyle magazine, Cozycot in 2012.
Eileen also teaches at non-fashion schools like Raffles Junior College and Holy Innocent High School to students who love fashion. She also volunteers with St.Andrew’s Autism Centre on project basis.
