Keppel O&M inks contracts worth around $250m from returning clients

Clients include GAS-fifteen, MODEC, and a subsidiary of Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V.

Keppel Offshore & Marine (Keppel O&M) revealed that they had over $250m worth of contracts from repeat customers.

These contracts are for the conversion of a Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU), integration of a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel, and the jumboisation of two Trailing Suction Hopper Dredgers (TSHD).

For the first contract, Keppel Shipyard has received the Final Notice to Proceed (FNTP) from GAS-fifteen Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GasLog Carriers Ltd, for the Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) conversion of a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Carrier into an FSRU.

This includes the EPC of the regasification skid, as well as the supporting systems such as boilers, spread-mooring, offloading, electrical, and automation systems.

A second contract with MODEC Offshore Production Systems entails the installation and integration of topside modules onboard the Bacalhau FPSO. This also includes the fabrication of a flare tower and two crane pedestals, the assembly and installation of two deck cranes, and completion and commissioning support for MODEC. The hull of the FPSO is expected to arrive in Singapore in the second half (H2) of 2022, with delivery scheduled for H2 of 2023.

The last contract with a subsidiary of Royal Boskalis Westminister N.V. was also reported for the repair and jumboisation of two TSHDS. Worth on the first is expected to be finished and re-delivered in 2Q 2022, while the second is scheduled for arrival in 3Q 20222 and an expected re-delivery of 4Q 2022.

A new owner-furnished block will be integrated, resulting in an increase to the vessel’s overall length from 156 metres to 201 metres upon completion.
