Irate? Call the hotline if you can.

Communication services of M1 were disrupted yesterday, leaving frustrated customers no choice but to rant elsewhere.

According to ZDNet, irate consumers took to social media to vent their frustrations during the outage. An M1 subscriber Tweeted: "Seriously M1? 6 hours later your network is STILL down?"

Reports said customers experienced difficulties making calls and sending SMS since 9:00 am Wednesday. The service was said to be down for almost 12 hours.

In a press statement on the same day, M1 spokeswoman Petrina Teoh said, "We are experiencing technical difficulty on one of our customer management servers, and mobile services to some of our customers are temporarily disrupted. We would like to express our deep apologies for the inconvenience caused. Please be assured that we are putting all available resources to promptly rectify this issue."

As of 9:30 pm Wednesday, M1 has issued another statement saying, "Our mobile services are progressively being restored, to the affected customers. We envisage full service restoration, shortly. We would like to thank our affected customers for their understanding and patience, whilst we worked on restoring services to them."
