Singtel to boost SK telco firm's metaverse business

It will assist the firm's growth in the Asia Pacific.

Singtel and SK Telecom joined hands to help the South Korean firm's metaverse platform grow in the Asia Pacific.

In a joint statement, both telco firms signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) which indicates that Singtel will provide 5G and other technology access to the metarverse business.

Under the MOU, there will be the development of virtual versions of places in Singapore, avatars of locals, and exclusive events for Singtel customers.

The said event is scheduled for January 2023.
