Certis reinvents itself with Security+ and new Living Lab

It revamped its business approach to provide more efficient and lower cost solutions to its customers.

Security services firm Certis launched Security Plus (Security+) solutions, along with its new logo and ‘Living Lab’ building, to better serve its customers, an announcement revealed.

The announcement came after a three year transformation journey which includes developing built in-house technology and system integration expertise, embedding design thinking in the firm’s DNA and expanding facilities management (FM) integrated concierge and customer service into its operations the announcement noted.

“We combine advanced security, facilities management and customer service into a single holistic service, supported and underpinned by technology,” Paul Chong, president and group executive chief officer of Certis, said.

Security+ will allow customers to understand the separate divisions within their organisations and identify synergy, Chong added.

The firm’s new building Certis Commonwealth will serve as a ‘Living Lab’ to operationalise new technology in a live environment, the announcement said. It was officially opened by minister of finance Heng Swee Keat on 23 October.

It will also house Certis’ Executive Briefing Centre (EBC) which is an innovation hub that will provide customers with a ‘personified first-hand experience’ of Certis’ capabilities, operations, technology and solutions they can adapt.

“Our Security+ approach is highly relevant in today’s heightened security landscape,” Chong noted. “It’s timely for our brand identity to reflect the company that we have become.”

Certis is a subsidiary of Temasek Holdings and it reported a revenue of $1.2b for 2018. Its global team has grown to 34,000 which includes 16,000 in Singapore, as well as international presence in Australia, Hong Kong, Macau, China, Malaysia and the Middle East.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
