COE premiums rise across the board in latest bidding exercise

Cat A COEs rose to $45,000.

Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums rose in all categories in the first bidding exercise for March.

The price of Category A COEs—for cars smaller than 1600cc—rose to $45,000 from $43,000. A total of 3,518 bids were received for 2,033 COEs.

Meanwhile, the COE price for Category B cars—those larger than 1600cc—rose to $47,604 from $46,970 in the previous bidding exercise.

The COE premium for Category E, or the open category, surged to $48,002 from $45,009.

COE premium for goods vehicle and buses rose to $48,890, while the premium for motorcycles rose to $6,503.
