Motorists to face higher peak-time ERP rates starting 23 March

The LTA will increase ERP by $1 at four gantries following January congestion.

Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) rates at four locations in Singapore will increase by $1 from 23 March following the latest review of traffic conditions by the Land Transport Authority (LTA).

In a press statement, the LTA said traffic built up at several expressway stretches based on monitoring conducted in January 2026 with the adjustments intended to manage congestion and maintain traffic flow.

The revised charges will apply during six specified time periods at four ERP locations along the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE), Central Expressway (CTE) and Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE).

At the AYE after Jurong Town Hall Road towards the city, where there is a set of three gantries, the ERP rate from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. will increase to $4 from $3, whilst the charge from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. will rise to $3 from $2.

The LTA said motorists passing through locations with multiple gantries will only be charged once.

Rates at other ERP gantries and time periods will remain unchanged.

The authority said it will continue monitoring traffic conditions and review ERP rates regularly to ensure traffic speeds remain within the optimal range for expressways.
