Singaporean ride-hailing firm Kardi teams up with India's Jugnoo to accelerate Singapore operations

Jugnoo will transfer its operations to Kardi as it improves their platform.

Singapore-based ride-hailing firm Kardi teamed up with Indian firm Jugnoo to increase their fleet and propel a “driver-centered company,” an announcement revealed.

Kardi rolled out its car hailing services in Singapore on 1st August after a two-month trial.

The collaboration will transfer Jugnoo’s Singapore app as it improve and advise on the IT structure of the current incorporated system of Kardi. This will include making new digital assets, research, IT development, as well as dealing on improvements pertaining to the rider and driver apps.

“By focusing at our drivers’ well being and finding ways to improve service standards, we intend to make the users overall ride experience better than current standards,” Kardi CEO Ashwin Selambram said.

He added that both riders and drivers can directly benefit from the wholesome experience and perks as they plan to collaborate with other merchants in the near future.

“Kardi being Singapore’s local company has better expertise in handling the operations and Jugnoo being a tech a platform will empower Kardi with the best class technology,” Jugnoo CEO and founder Samar Singla commented.

Commuters using Jugnoo’s app that will redirect them to Kardi’s app. They will be requested to provide their consent as their details will be transferred. Likewise, the current Jugnoo drivers will be notified and their approval in order for them to be ported over as a Kardi driver.

“With this collaboration, we envision a future that will provide more affordable rides to the customers and a better earning to the drivers,” Singla said.

According to Kardi, both drivers and riders can look forward to the changes by late August.

“We handle customers and drivers’ details with utmost confidentiality, thus no action on our side will be taken without prior approval of the users and drivers,” Kardi said.

Headquartered in Chandigarh India, Jugnoo renders services in auto-rickshaw aggregators in Singapore and India. It also offeres rides, deliveries, amongst other services.
