CHART OF THE DAY: Singapore Airlines best brand for the fifth time

The airline posted a score of 53.5.

A chart from YouGov’s 2022 Best Brand Ranking showed that Singapore Airlines retained the top place for best brand, posting a score of 53.5 despite the two-year hit to the travelling sector.

Shopee rose to two places from 2021 to finish in second (47.4), whilst Uniqlo is still third place (46.5).

Google ranked fourth with a score of 43.9, followed by messaging platform, WhatsApp, (43.8) and Changi Airport (43.8).

Supermarket chain, FairPrice, fell one rank to seventh (42.8), whilst attraction Gardens by the Bay (41.5) was at eighth place.

Channel News Asia (38.8) and video sharing website YouTube (38.5) were at ninth and tenth place, respectively.

“The rankings are based on YouGov BrandIndex’s Index score: a measure of overall brand health calculated by taking the average of Impression, Quality, Value, Satisfaction, Recommend and Reputation,” read the press release.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
