Singapore Airlines Group’s passenger volume rises 24.4% YoY in December

SIA and Scoot carried around 3.3 million passengers during the month.

Singapore Airlines Group (SIA Group) saw a 24.4% YoY uptick in its passenger volume in December, carrying 3.3 million passengers last month. 

Apart from passenger volume, the group’s passenger traffic also increased in December, rising 15.8% YoY.

Meanwhile, the airline group recorded a passenger load factor (PLF) of 89.4%.

The group’s cargo businesses also reported positive volume growth in December, with total cargo and mail carried rising 4.3% YoY to 82.8 million kilograms (kg).

The group’s cargo load factor, however, dipped by 1.7 percentage points to 52.6%.
