SIA Engineering's net profit rises to $41.9m in Q3 FY2025-26

Revenue grew by 8.7% despite start-up costs at two new subsidiaries.

SIA Engineering Group recorded a net profit of $41.9m for the third quarter ended 31 December 2025, up $3.7m from the previous year.

Revenue for the quarter grew 8.7% year-on-year to $353.1m whilst expenditure increased 8.4% to $347.1m, according to the group’s press release.

Higher costs were attributed to manpower, subcontract services, materials, IT system implementation, and start-up expenses at two new subsidiaries.

Operating profit grew by $1.3m to $6m, despite initial gestation losses at the new subsidiaries.

Share of profits of associated and joint venture companies for the quarter was $38.8m, up $6.6m. Improvements from the Engine and Component segment and the Airframe and Line Maintenance segment were $6.2m and $400,000, respectively.

As of 31 December 2025, equity attributable to owners of the parent stood at approximately $1.71b, down 0.7% from 31 March 2025.

The decline was due to a reduction in the foreign currency translation reserve and the payment of the final dividend for the previous financial year, the group added.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
