Avanade’s Bhavya Kapoor named Executive of the Year at SBR Management Excellence Awards

Avanade, the world’s leading Microsoft expert, celebrated the latest accolade of its Asia Pacific President, Bhavya Kapoor, who was named Executive of the Year - IT Services at the recent SBR Management Excellence Awards 2024.

As chief executive for Avanade's most diverse markets, Bhavya is responsible for the company’s strategic direction and priorities, growth, and market-leading position across Asia Pacific. Bhavya has over two decades of experience in business management, technology, and consulting. Bhavya has always reinforced people at the heart of his decisions that helped to build stronger teams, foster innovation, and achieve sustainable success. Under his leadership, Avanade has continuously invested in upskilling and developing local talent to prepare people for an AI-first future. This includes launching Avanade’s first network of generative AI labs in Asia Pacific and promoting a responsible AI approach when adopting this rapidly advancing technology.

Consistently recognised as a Leader in the Microsoft ecosystem, Bhavya leads his team at Avanade to help mid-market organisations and large enterprises across Asia Pacific use technology and innovation to achieve business value and outcomes. The company recently unveiled seven new AI services designed to help mid-market organisations in Asia Pacific realise the benefits of AI, accelerate growth, and transform into market leaders.

As a responsible business leader, Bhavya has driven initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion as well as create equal opportunities in technology. This includes being one of the first technology services companies in Singapore to establish a partnership with Autism Resource Centre Singapore to train and employ neurodiverse adults in IT testing and developer roles. To commend its efforts in pioneering this industry-leading initiative, Avanade was acknowledged by the Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore for fostering a progressive and inclusive workplace.
 
Avanade also offers its award-winning STEM scholarships in partnership with local universities across Asia Pacific. The scholarship programme aims to help young women from underrepresented backgrounds pursue education and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines.

In addition to his work at Avanade, Bhavya serves on the board of a global non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering rural communities and promoting socioeconomic equity through creative, community-led action.
