Asian markets off to holiday break

Singapore's finacial tradings resume Wednesday.

Financial tradings in Singapore, Malaysia, Japan South Korea, and Hong Kong have taken its holiday break in observance of the Spring Festival which marks the Lunar New Year in Chinese calendar.

Malaysia will be back to business on Tuesday (12 Feb) while Hong Kong and Singapore will resume on Wednesday. Taiwan will also re-open on Thursday.

China, meanwhile, will re-open next week (18 Feb). Japan will also be closed on Monday in line with its National Foundation Day. Trading in South Korea will re-open Tuesday (19 Feb).
