Global growth slowdown, rising interest rates top list of local investors' woes

Oil price shocks are another concern.

Singaporean investors are apprehensive that a global economic slowdown, rising interest rates and oil price shocks could threaten their portfolios this year, a survey by Natixis revealed.

The survey revealed that 57% of local investors are worried about a global economic slowdown, higher than the 45% global average.

The study also showed that 39% of respondents were aworried about the impending rise in interest rates, higher than the global average of 31%.

Oil price shocks were a concern for 39% of investors, versus 31% globally. Terrorism was also a concern for 39% of investors.
