SBR Budget Breakfast Briefing makes successful comeback in 2016

Top experts, analysts tackled Singapore’s 2016 fiscal plans.

The SBR Budget Breakfast Briefing 2016 was a roaring success, as over 50 individuals from various industries came together on Monday, March 28 to discuss the wide-ranging impacts of Singapore’s latest Budget.

Over coffee and breakfast, a panel comprising Ajay Kumar Sanganeria of KPMG, Anuj Kagalwala of Pwc Singapore, Chia Seng Chye of Ernst & Young Solutions LLP, Lee Tiong Heng, of Deloitte Singapore, and Shanker Iyer of Iyer Practice Advisers delved into the initiatives and schemes announced by Singapore Minister of Finance Heng Swee Keat last Thursday, March 24.

The event kicked off with a discussion of the Singapore government’s anticipated thrusts to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in 2016. The experts then further weighed in on how the measures announced in Budget 2016 underscored partnership among the local government, citizens, and industries.

The panel discussion was followed by an open forum, during which the five speakers entertained and discussed questions from the other attendees.

The SBR Budget Breakfast Briefing 2016 was held at the Fullerton Hotel Singapore, and is supported by ACCA Singapore, AcClarity, European Chamber of Commerce, KinerjaBisa, New Zealand Chamber of Commerce, Singapore Accountancy Commission (SAC), Securities Investors Association Singapore (SIAS), and Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals (SIATP).
