Singapore's core inflation forecast inched higher to 2.4%

A slight increase from previous forecast.

According to the MAS March 2014 Survey, the median CPI inflation forecast for 2014 is 2.8% in the latest survey, unchanged from the December survey.

Meanwhile, the respondents also expect MAS Core Inflation to be 2.4%, higher than the 2.3% reported in the previous survey. For Q1 2014, CPI All-Items inflation is expected to come in at 1.5%. As for the labour market, the respondents continue to forecast the unemployment rate to be 1.9% by year-end.
