Sembcorp inks deal to power STT GDC’s data centres in SG

Sembcorp Power will supply up to 100MW of power to the data centres for at least eight years.

Sembcorp Industries has signed long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) with ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC ) to power its data centres in Singapore.

Under the PPA, Sembcorp Power will supply STT GDC’s data centres with up to 100MW of power over a contract period of eight to 10 years.

The PPAs with STT GDC will be accretive to Sembcorp’s earnings commencing from the financial year ending December 31, 2023.

The new contracts add to Sembcorp's existing portfolio, which includes the 18-year PPA with Micron and the 10-year PPA with Singtel.
