Bank lending surged 17% in February 2011

On a month-on-month basis, Singapore bank lending rose 1.6% last month.

According to Kim Eng Securities, the continued strength in lending this year is positive for the Singapore banking sector, which already experienced strong loan growth of 15% in 2010.
