Government payout to swell by 50% in 2011

The government will make special efforts to help low income worker through the Workfare Special Bonus.

According to PM Lee Hsien Loong's speech, a worker aged 35-44 and earning $1,000 a month get $130 more.

If the worker is 60 years and above he gets $350 more, PM Lee added.

These additional payouts will be fully funded by the Government; therefore, not adding any burden on the employers.
