F&B sales growth eases to 7.2% in June

In April, F&B sales grew 8.7% YoY.

Food and beverage (F&B) sales grew slower in June, increasing by 7.2% YoY from an 8.5% YoY uptick in May. Sales value clocked in at $956m.

Of the total sales value, 23.4% was from online sales.

According to the Department of Statistics Singapore (Singstat), all F&B services industries recorded year-on-year increases in sales in June.

Amongst industries, Food Caterers recorded the largest increase, soaring 28.9% YoY, followed by Fast Food Outlets, which saw a 13.4% jump in sales.

Sales of Cafes, Food Courts & Other Eating Places, and Restaurants also rose in June, by 6.7% YoY and 1.2% YoY, respectively.
