F&B sales rebound 5.5% in February
The increase follows a 3.2% dip in January.
Sales of Food & Beverage (F&B) services rose 5.5% year-on-year (YoY) in February, compared to a 3.2% decline in January, according to the Department of Statistics.
The increase was attributed to the timing of the Chinese New Year, which fell in February.
The estimated total value of F&B services in the month stood at $1.6b, with online sales accounting for 20.3%, down from 22.5% from the previous month.
For the two months of January and February, F&B sales were up 1% compared with the same period in 2025.
On a seasonally adjusted basis, sales rose 0.9%.
Within the sector, sales of Food Caterers and Restaurants increased 12.6% and 9.2% respectively.
Fast Food Outlets and Cafes grew 4.9% and 0.4%.
Meanwhile, turnover at Food Courts and Other Eating Places declined 4.4%.
