Visitor arrivals hit 4.4 million in Q1 as March surge offsets slow start

March tourism records strongest growth of the year at 10%.

Singapore recorded 4.4 million international visitor arrivals in the first quarter (Q1) of 2026, up 2.8% year-on-year (YoY) from 4.31 million in the same period in 2025, according to Singapore Tourism Board (STB) data.

Monthly performance was uneven for the three months with January arrivals reaching 1.5 million, down 8.0% from 1.63 million a year earlier, which STB said reflected the timing of Chinese New Year and its celebrations.

February arrivals rose to 1.5 million, up 8.7% from 1.38 million in February 2025, supported by stronger regional travel demand during the holiday period.

March recorded the strongest YoY growth within the quarter at 10% with 1.43 million arrivals, up from 1.3 million a year earlier.

STB said overall trends were influenced by aforementioned holiday timing, regional travel flows, and flight capacity, adding that key markets such as Malaysia, China and Indonesia contributed to the monthly variations.

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
