$1b Therme Singapore wellness attraction to rise at Marina South Coast

The four-hectare site will offer visitors thermal pools, landscapes, art installations, and health technologies.

Therme Group will develop Therme Singapore, a $1b, four-hectare wellbeing destination at Marina South Coast that is also touted to be Asia’s first large-scale wellness project.

The waterfront site will be located next to Marina Barrage and Gardens by the Bay, and will feature thermal pools, botanical landscapes, art installations, and health technologies.

The group’s inaugural project in the region is projected to see around 2 million visitors annually when it reaches full operational capacity, with about half being overseas visitors, the developer said.

Therme Singapore will also prioritise sustainability with its use of water recycling, sustainable energy solutions, and biophilic design.

The wellness site was designed by Singapore architecture firm DP Architects and Therme ARC, the Therme Group's in-house architecture design company.

The project comes after the developer was awarded the tender for a wellness attraction by the Singapore Tourism Board.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
