Residents may apply for short-term visa with tourism purposes for 90 days.

Residents in Singapore are eligible to apply for a 90-day tourist e-Visa for Japan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan said in an announcement.

Other applicants who are eligible are residents of Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, Mongolia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Taiwan, the United Arab Emirates, the UK, and the US.

The Japanese ministry also warned applicants of fraud websites that looked similar to the Japan eVISA website.

Here are other reminders:

Applicants are required to log onto the JAPAN eVISA website and display “Visa issuance notice” at the departure airport on the screen of their mobile devices (i.e. smartphone, tablet or other devices). PDF data or screenshot of the page will not be accepted.

Following applicants are not eligible to apply online. Please apply for visa in person at Japanese overseas establishment with jurisdiction over region;

- Applicants who have been convicted of a crime or offence, deported, etc. in any country.

- Applicants with dual nationality (with Japan).

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
