COTD: Temps now surpass full-time employees on key projects
However, 59% of companies still currently use full-time staff for operational support.
Temporary workers have not only caught up to full-time employees, but in some cases surpassed them in handling specific, project-based work, according to a ManpowerGroup report.

For tasks that require a quick influx of specialised skills or a temporary boost in manpower, contract workers are now the preferred solution.
A significant 34% of companies currently use temporary workers for these roles, compared to just 30% who use full-time employees, with another 19% plan to hire temporary workers for this purpose.
Similarly, temporary workers are now more likely to be used for targeted projects as 32% of businesses currently use them for specialised tasks, whilst only 29% use full-time employees.
However, 59% of companies still currently use full-time staff for operational support, such as administrative work and customer service (51%).
