Enterprise Singapore's Jeffrey Siow appointed as second permanent secretary of MOM

He will take on the position in January 2024.

Managing Director and COO of Enterprise Singapore, Jeffrey Siow Chen Siang, has been appointed as the Second Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Manpower. He will begin his duties at the MOM on 1 January 2024.

Siow held various appointments in the Ministry of Manpower, the Public Service Division, the Civil Service College, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Transport. He was also Principal Private Secretary to Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong from 2017 to 2021.

The Public Service Division (PSD) also announced that Teoh Zsin Woon will take on the role of Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth following the resignation of Tan Gee Keow on 1 January 2024.

Other appointments announced by the PSD include Melvyn Ong Su Kiat as Permanent Secretary for Development (Ministry of National Development; 1 January 2024) and Chng Kai Fong as Permanent Secretary for Information and Development (Ministry of Communications and Information; 1 November)
