Seatrium, ITE inaugurates Digital Learning Lab

Seatrium has pledged $1.2m to the ITE Education Fund.

Seatrium Limited partnered with the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) to introduce a Digital Learning Lab that aims to enhance digital skills in the Marine and Offshore (M&O) Energy industry and attract new talents.

The ITE-Seatrium Digital Learning Lab features practical skills development, technological literacy, and hands-on learning emphasising active engagement and problem-solving.

In line with this, Seatrium and ITE also signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) outlining objectives to prepare students and the M&O workforce.

This included learning opportunities for Higher Nitec students and Work-Study Diploma trainees, internship placements, and overseas industry connections for staff.

Additionally, ITE will offer certification courses, such as Digital Yard Technology Applications, 5G Marine Use Cases, and AI applications, to upskill some 4,500 Seatrium workforce and students by 2027,

Seatrium has pledged $1.2m to the ITE Education Fund, benefitting 300 students from low-income families for four years.
