Kloud-Soft pockets SBR National Business Awards for Computer Software

The company helped an SME increase productivity by 30%.

Richport Technology, a rapidly growing advanced plating services small and medium enterprise (SME), was faced with key IT challenges — namely, maintaining the traceability of its parts and the security of its documentation.

By partnering with Kloud-Soft Pte. Ltd., it was able to implement a customised enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution, Affinity Business Suite, which is built on Microsoft Azure. This allowed the company to transform its traditional electroplating business, improve its quality of service, and enable seamless growth.

This feat by Kloud-Soft earned it the Singapore Business Review National Business Award for Computer Software. Accepting the award on behalf of the company for the project "Transforming SMB Business with Technology" was Richard Chong.

Kloud-Soft is a specialized Software product company that focuses on the digital transformation of businesses, Human Resource (HR) Automation, Communication and Collaboration, and Content Information Governance.

Richport had a large variety of tedious, inefficient manual processes. Those processes, because they were not automated, cannot be tracked and were frequently duplicated, with no management visibility on what exactly was happening within the process. Additionally, the challenge of document and data security was limiting their ability to meet new customer requirements. The management team ultimately found it challenging to manage the business during this growing phase, and thus started to look around for solutions.

Kloud-Soft helped the company because of what it had to offer: For instance, the functionality and flexibility of Kloud-Soft Affinity Business Suite, which allowed the customer to configure the application precisely to their business processes with minimal interruption of running the business.

Through this digital transformation Richport started their road to online digital efforts, which increased their productivity by about 30% - 40%, the response time to customer query from days to half a day, as well as real time data presented in simple analytics charts, among other changes.

The SBR National Business Awards was held on June 8, 2017 at the Conrad Centennial Singapore.

This year's nominations were judged by a panel consisting of Ng Jiak See, executive director and head of corporate finance advisory at Deloitte Singapore & Southeast Asia; Choo Eng Chuan, ASEAN markets leader and partner, international and corporate tax services at Ernst & Young Solutions LLP; Toh Kim Teck, assurance partner at Foo Kon Tan LLP; and Henry Tan, managing director at NEXIA TS.
