
CIOs prioritise digital infrastructure for sustainability goals
Nearly 99% of CIOs say they have intelligent digital infrastructure in place.
Chief Information Officers (CIOs) in Singapore are slightly behind in addressing environmental issues, with only 25% having a multi-year environmental strategy in place, according to Colt Technology Services.
Meanwhile, the report also found that half of Singapore CIOs expect digital infrastructure spending to increase by up to 20% in 2025.
Notably, 98.57% say they have intelligent digital infrastructure in place, reflecting a broader trend of integrating such systems to enhance operational efficiency and support sustainability goals.
Currently, 48% of Singaporean CIOs believe the tech industry is making the right level of effort to drive sustainable growth—higher than in other leading digital economies like Hong Kong (27.33%) and the UK (36.67%).
In addition, more than 47% of CIOs in Singapore say their digital infrastructure provider has a positive approach to environmental governance, compared to 41% in Hong Kong and 35% in the UK.
On behalf of Colt Technology Services, Censuswide surveyed over 1,500 IT decision-makers aged 18 and above from the UK, USA, Italy, France, Germany, The UAE, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, and Benelux between 19 July 2024 and 5 August 2024.
