Keppel and AWS ink deal to boost global AI and connectivity solutions

The partners will explore data center solutions, subsea cables, and renewable energy.

Keppel has signed a new multi-year strategic framework agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to collaborate on data centers, subsea cables, and renewable energy, regionally and globally.

Under the agreement, both partners will accelerate AI adoption and machine learning across Keppel's operations through its AI Platform which will be built using Amazon Bedrock.

Keppel will also help fulfill AWS’s infrastructure requirements which may include providing AI-enabled data center capacity and access to renewable energy projects and expanding its sustainable data centre infrastructure globally.

In addition, the partners will boost network connectivity through subsea cable systems and explore energy-related technologies to help decarbonise power consumption in applicable grids.

"This collaboration drives innovation in connectivity, sustainability, and AI, delivering carbon-efficient solutions that support AWS's global goals while enhancing Keppel's technological offerings,” Manjot Singh Mann, CEO of Connectivity at Keppel said.
