Oracle, DISG fund 300 firms to slash AI cost barriers
Oracle will sponsor $1.9m for enterprises requiring private cloud infrastructure.
Oracle and the Digital Industry Singapore (DISG) have partnered to support the government’s ‘Enterprise Compute Initiative’, which aims to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) across industries.
Oracle will commit up to $250,000 per company to support the AI development of 300 Singapore-based organisations through Oracle Universal Credits, training, certification, and discovery workshops.
The group will also sponsor up to $1.9m for enterprises that require private cloud infrastructure, enabling access to the Oracle Private Cloud Appliance and Oracle Exadata.
The initiative will also be supported by the government, which will cover up to 70% of consultancy costs, capped at $105,000 per enterprise.
The combined support is intended to reduce the cost barriers for companies establishing in-house AI teams or AI Centres of Excellence in Singapore.
The DISG is a joint office between the Economic Development Board, Enterprise Singapore, and the Infocomm Media Development Authority.
