SG amongst top 5 countries investing the most money in blockchain

Currently, Singapore has a total of $1.52b investment in blockchain.

Singapore ranked fifth amongst the countries investing the most money in distributed ledger technology, a report from cloud company, WalkMe, revealed.

Using data from the latest Digital Future Index 2021-2022, WalkMe found that amongst the types of distributed ledger technology, Singapore businesses are investing the most in blockchain, putting around $1.52b (£850m) to date.  

In Walkme.com’s separate survey, blockchain ranked seventh (3.4%) among the top new technologies that business owners are most invested in.

Just above blockchain are immersive tech (6.6%), quantum computing (7.9%), and biometrics (12.7%).

Meanwhile, the top three digital technologies were 5G (32.9%), Internet of Things (21.9%), and Artificial Intelligence (14.5%).
