Singtel unveils hybrid network against quantum threats
The company also signed an MoU with Palo Alto Networks to extend the network.
Singtel has launched its Hybrid Quantum-Safe Networks (QSN), which integrates Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) with Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), aiming to provide enterprises protection against quantum threats.
QKD is a secure method for distributing encryption keys only known between shared parties, whilst PQC is a new generation of encryption algorithms that are engineered to resist quantum attacks.
It extends protection beyond core data centres and mission-critical sites to branch offices, remote facilities, cloud environments and overseas operations.
Singtel also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Palo Alto Networks to extend QSN through Palo Alto Networks’ PQC solution.
It will cover industries including healthcare, financial services, and critical infrastructure.
